Dunlop a KTM Grade A supplier
KTM has awarded Goodyear EMEA, owner of the Dunlop brand across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, a Grade A supplier rating in its latest evaluation audit. The Austrian performance motorcycle manufacturer will present its Supplier Quality Excellence Award in recognition of the tyre company’s work across product design and development, manufacturing, supply chain, administration and sales functions.
Dunlop Geomax MX33 tyres were recently selected as the original equipment fitment for every motorcycle in the KTM range, from the flagship 450 SX-F down to the lightweight two-stroke KTM 125 SX and junior range. Husqvarna, a KTM Group company, also chose this tyre for its entire range. These two motocross manufacturers selected Geomax MX-33 after extensive comparison testing. Geomax MX-33 is designed for soft, mud and intermediate terrains, and its versatility allows KTM and Husqvarna riders the opportunity to push hard in changing surface conditions.
“We are delighted that KTM recognises our work,” says Miguel Morais, original equipment manager, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe. “From producing innovative tyres through to supporting their network with professional backup support, our focus is always to deliver for our partners. KTM sets exacting standards and we are proud to deliver high performance together.”
The award for business partnership and collaboration is also reflected in the performance of the companies on track. KTM had a successful 2021 motorsport season, winning the Moto3 World Championship with Pedro Acosta and the AMA Supercross Championship with Cooper Webb. Both riders used Dunlop tyres, demonstrating the performance of KTM and Dunlop partnerships in top-level motorsport.
