Continental delivering to John Deere in USA
From November 2021, Continental is supplying its TractorMaster and Tractor85 agricultural tyre ranges to John Deere’s factory in Iowa, USA for original equipment fitment on the John Deere 7R and 8R tractor lines. These sizable machines require tyres with external diameters of up to 2.05 metres and rim diameters up to 50-inches. This arrangement builds upon Continental’s supply to John Deere in Europe, where its tyres have been fitted to tractors produced at the Mannheim factory in Germany since 2019.
With the TractorMaster and Tractor85, Continental has it has “versatile agricultural tyres” in its portfolio. Continental’s d.fine lug technology provides a larger lug surface than that found on standard tyres. A high lug overlap leads to smooth driving behaviour and less vibration. In addition, N.flex technology gives the tyres a high degree of dimensional stability and clash resistance, which enable the them to adapt to uneven ground.
“The agricultural tyres TractorMaster and Tractor85 are ideally suited for use on different soil conditions. Thanks to the flexible nylon carcass, they provide the farmer with the best possible support in his work, whether on the field or on the road,” says Jens Mund, key account manager for agricultural tyre original equipment at Continental Commercial Specialty Tires.
