Avon Tyres unveils all-season van tyre

An all-season product has joined the Avon Tyres van tyre line-up. The brand is introducing the Avon AS12 All Season in ten sizes for 15- and 16-in rim diameters. All dimensions are 3PMSF accredited.

Similarities with the recently launched Cooper Evolution Van All Season are not coincidental. The two brands have been siblings since Cooper Tire & Rubber’s acquisition of Avon Tyres Ltd. in 1997; both now belong to Goodyear Tire & Rubber following its purchase of Cooper Tire & Rubber last year.

“We are thrilled to be introducing the Avon AS12 All Season van tyre,” says Gavin Edwards, general manager, European Technical Centre, Cooper Tire Europe. “We already offer proven van tyres which are developed with a focus on the challenges presented by each of the summer and winter seasons, so it is great to now complete the set with a tyre with strong performance across all weather conditions.”

Reliable wet & snow braking

According to Avon Tyres, standout features of the AS12 All Season include a symmetrical tread, which produces an even footprint and impressive wear characteristics; together with high sipe and block edge lengths which, together with zig zag grooves, generate reliable braking performance in wet and snowy environments.

Avon’s van tyre line-up already includes the Avon AV12 summer and WM-Van winter products. By introducing the Avon AS12 All Season, Avon says it “offers a tyre with strong performance in both summer and winter conditions.”
