Yokohama grows non-Europe Advan Neova, BluEarth ranges
In addition to the Advan Sport V107, Yokohama Rubber is bringing three further ranges to market in the first quarter of 2022 – but unlike the latest flagship performance tyre these products won’t be sold in the UK or Europe, for now at least.
The first is a new street sports tyre, the Advan Neova AD09. Sales will begin in Japan in February 2022 and gradually expand to Asia and North America. Yokohama will initially offer the tyre in 20 sizes, ranging from 275/30R20 97W XL to 165/55R15 75V. Another 60 sizes, including 21-inch tyres, will join the size line-up by the end of 2022. Yokohama doesn’t intend to launch the range in UK and Europe next year, however we may see the AD09 here at a later date.
The Advan Neova series has its roots in motorsports and circuit racing. Designed to be the strongest Advan street tyre, Neova tyres incorporate the latest racing technologies cultivated in Yokohama Rubber’s various motorsports activities. The Advan Neova AD09 is Yokohama’s first all-new Neova tyre since the introduction of Advan Neova AD08R in 2013.
The other newcomers are a pair of tyres for minivans and lightweight box wagons. These additions to the fuel-efficient BluEarth line-up will both arrive in February. Sales of the BluEarth-RV RV03 for minivans will commence in Japan and gradually expand to other Asian countries. The BluEarth-RV RV03CK for compact minivans and lightweight box wagons is a Japan-only tyre. Both will be available in 40 sizes, ranging from 245/40R20 99W XL to 145/80R13 75S. Yokohama says it won’t be bringing these tyres to the UK or Europe.
