More than a million: Rosava achieves European export record
A first for Rosava – the Ukrainian tyre maker reports having shipped more than a million tyres to European markets within the space of a year. During the first ten months of 2021 it sold more than a million Remiorri and Rosava passenger vehicle tyres, 150 per cent more than during the same period of 2020. The tyre maker also added two European countries – Cyprus and Portugal – to its supply map this year.
Rosava says its sales strategy to Europe reflects the well-known Pareto principle, which states that 80 per cent of consequences come from 20 per cent of the causes. “In our case, three companies make 80 per cent of all sales due to their developed logistics and partnerships, as well as due to our assortment and size range. However, the most important component is quality that meets both the certification requirements of European countries and customer expectations. This enables us to cover the largest mass markets in the European Union, such as Germany and Italy.”
Overall sales up 22%
Despite the pandemic, the trend of rising raw material prices and logistics costs, as well as the global crisis in cargo traffic, Rosava’s total tyre sales increased 22 per cent year-on-year between 1 January and 31 October. This includes a 15 per cent increase in car tyre sales, 92 per cent rise for car trailer tyres, 31 per cent light truck tyres, and a seven per cent rise in sales of tyres for agricultural equipment.
The manufacturer comments that although its quickly adjusted to the changed market rules and all its departments and divisions adapted to the new conditions, demand outstrips supply for Rosava’s agricultural and light truck tyres, some truck tyres sizes as well as larger diameter (17- to 20-inch Premiorri tyres) passenger vehicle tyres; sales of these last-mentioned, high margin products increased 91 per cent year-on-year.
