Bridgestone Vietnam wins Best Supplier award from Toyota Motor Vietnam

Recently, Bridgestone Vietnam Tire Trading Co., Ltd and Bridgestone Tire Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd (Bridgestone Vietnam) received the Best Supplier award in 2020 at the Toyota Motor Vietnam (Toyota Vietnam) annual conference.

It was the first time Bridgestone Vietnam has been honoured in the highest award category since the two leading brands in the Vietnamese automotive market embarked on what local sources refer to as a strategic cooperation in 2016.

Bridgestone Vietnam was also honoured in the Best Supplier in Quality Management category for the fourth time in a row and also won “best performing supplier in terms of safety management” as well as “The supplier with the best cost improvement results”. Previously, in April 2021, Bridgestone Asia Pacific won the “Comprehensive Supplier of Excellence” award – the second time Bridgestone Asia Pacific has been awarded this award from Toyota after it first won the honour in 2014.

Localised OE tyre supply

In 2020, Bridgestone Vietnam’s Ecopia EP150 tyre line was selected by Toyota Vietnam to become a 100 per cent tyre option for the Toyota Vios, the best-selling car in the local market, reaching a sales record for Toyota Vietnam. Previously, in 2016, Bridgestone started supplying tyres for the Toyota Innova (specifically the Ecopia EP150 again)

As well as supplying OE tyres for Vietnam-made Toyotas, Bridgestone also supplies prodcts for the imported Toyota Camry (Turanza T005 tyres made in Vietnam) and the Toyota Fortuner Dueler A/T 693III & H/T 684II Made in Indonesia).
