ZC Rubber supplying OE tyres for Changan’s new electric car

Changan, one of China’s top-selling domestic automotive brands, has unveiled its first all-electric model, the C385. Zhongce Rubber Group (ZC Rubber) is supplying original equipment tyres to the new electric Changan, which will wear the SU318a all-season tyre in size 245/45 R19.

“Model Type C385 is Changan’s first strategic model in the field of electric vehicles. It focuses on high-end positioning and has high requirements for the fuel economy, comfort, handling, and other performance of the OE tyres,” comments ZC Rubber. “As such, we are very pleased to be the first OE supplier, as it shows our products are extremely competitive in the EV segment.”

ZC Rubber says it designed SU318a for drivers seeking enhanced traction, improved handling and comfort. The tyre thus supports the “excellent dynamics and comfort” of Changan’s new EV model, it adds. The tyre maker is a long-term strategic partner of Changan Automobile. In addition to this original equipment fitment, ZC Rubber reports that it is currently developing further tyres for future high-end Changan models, adding that these tyres will feature “new technology highlights.”
