Tanzi stepping down as Pirelli CFO
Pirelli chief financial officer Francesco Tanzi will leave his position on 31 December to pursue new professional challenges. According to Pirelli, executive vice chairman and chief executive officer Marco Tronchetti Provera will introduce a successor to the board of directors at its meeting on 11 November.
Tanzi is the second major executive to step down from their position at Pirelli this year; Angelos Papadimitriou, the tyre maker’s former general manager and co-CEO, left the role in February 2021. Former Prometeon Tyre Group (PTG) chairman and CEO Giorgio Luca Bruno became Pirelli deputy-CEO at the end of the first quarter.
