Hard work has paid off – Vredestein on Autozeitung test win
Vredestein is chuffed that its Quatrac is joint winner of the latest Autozeitung all-season tyre test. The Vredestein tyre tied for first place in the test of nine 205/55 R16 all-season tyres, and was also named Autozeitung’s price-performance recommendation.
Commenting on this success, sales and marketing director Yves Pouliquen says that the team at Apollo Tyres Europe “take such pride in our all-season range – it’s at the heart of the Vredestein brand. The Quatrac in particular has pioneered innovation and growth in the all-season segment and we continue to invest in research and development to ensure the tyre remains a performance leader. To receive an award from Autozeitung shows that our hard work has paid off.”
The test-winning Quatrac is the sixth generation of tyre in this series. Apollo Tyres developed it for the ‘mid-segment’ market that includes family cars, and the range is currently available in sizes from 13- to 22-inches – a line-up the tyre maker describes as “one of the most comprehensive and diverse portfolios of all-season tyres available.”
In its test review Auto Zeitung stated the Quatrac “is in a class of its own” on wet asphalt in a wide range of temperatures, and highlighted the tyre’s high levels of grip even when driven at the limit. The publication added “the rolling resistance is low,” and on top of that it is “safe on snow and very good value.”
Alongside the Quatrac, the Vredestein portfolio of all-season tyres includes the Quatrac Pro, Quatrac 5, and Comtrac 2 All-Season+ for light commercial vehicles.
