Launch launches upgrade to Pro S diagnostic tool
Launch UK has introduced a new diagnostic tool designed for challenging workshop conditions, the X-431 Euro Turbo. The tool is an upgrade of the Launch Pro S. Developed for the European market, the tool features Launch’s diagnostic software, which includes wide model coverage, powerful test functions, accurate test data, and numerous special functions.
The rugged 8-inch touchscreen tablet uses the Android 9.1 operating system. Its housing features a kickback stand and a new charging port design. It is supplied in a robust, hard case with all the necessary cables, including a wide range of OBD1 diagnostic connector adapters.
Using the latest Bluetooth technology, the tool allows technicians to move unhindered around the vehicle while carrying out diagnostic checks and tests, as the Euro Turbo communicates wirelessly with the latest DBS Car VCI.
It also features Launch intelligent diagnostics, including automatic VIN recognition for over 70 popular manufacturers, loading the correct software by vehicle model and production year, providing a faster and more convenient method than manual selection.
Technicians can select from individual modules or by a whole vehicle health check that interrogates all modules, and it is easy to use as diagnostic trouble codes are clearly displayed with a full description. One click on the fault code also allows translation to many alternative languages.
Technicians can search for information on the fault code directly from the tablet using an Internet search engine, or alternatively using the optional Launch Guided Diagnostic function, powered by Haynes Pro.
Launch says the tool will also save the technician time, increasing efficiency in the workshop as an optional feature is included, whereby the Launch Professional Database can be integrated in X-431 Euro Turbo software, guiding the user from the DTC reading to the step-by-step testing and to the final solution.
X-431 Euro Turbo supports Google Service and printer APK from the Google Play store, as well as both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi.
