Provana Group offers agricultural tyre testing

In May 2021 the Provana Group was established in order to promote “sustainable product systems in agriculture”. Provana Group is actually the third generation of Provana companies, which focus on services for the manufacturers of tyres and agricultural machinery.

The original company was founded in 1945 beginning with an axle and agricultural trailer construction and repair business. Subsequently, since 2000, Provana has specialized in the sale of tyres, including those for agricultural purposes.

Following the sale of the company to a multinational group in 2019, the company, which is based Izano, in the province of Cremona, experienced its third stage of evolution moving into the field of testing.

The tests offered are numerous, from measuring the rolling circumference to mechanical advances, comfort and handling, passing through traction tests in the field, mud discharge, slip on the rim, early wear, rolling resistance and fuel consumption.

The group uses various locations with tracks dedicated to technical tests, more than 10 hectares of agricultural areas and a training centre capable of providing technical courses for tractors and earthmoving, open to the dealers of the manufacturers.

In addition to data collection, data analysis, performance and market perception activities are available for the various brands of tyres tested, experimentation with advanced technologies for data acquisition (TPMS), storage and analysis of measurement parameters and tyre data via Can-bus and automatic data transfer via Link software and sharing via the cloud.

Finally, training and technical-commercial consultancy services are also offered, to identify the correct tires for the agricultural vehicle based on the type of processing.

Provana Group can count not only on the skills and infrastructures mentioned, but also on a consolidated and certified test methodology, developed in collaboration with various bodies. This approach is designed to guarantee a process of homologation and certification of the services provided by the Provana Group in compliance with the regulations of the sector, as well as performance and safety of agricultural machinery in line with the expectations of operators in the agricultural world.

Moving forward, Provana Group aims to collaborate with specialized media to provide farmers, contractors and trade associations with the best conditions for using tyres and the solutions to problems encountered and solved during tests carried out both in the field and on the track.
