NTDA announces 2021 Tyre Industry Awards finalists

The 2021 Tyre Industry Awards finalist shortlist has been published by the NTDA. The awards are due to be presented at a ceremony sponsored for the seventh consecutive year by Sailun Tyres, during the association’s 92nd Annual Dinner on Thursday 7 October at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham. The dinner is sponsored by long-standing NTDA supplier member, and Tyre Industry Awards supporter, Maritime Cargo Services, while the awards will be hosted, once again, by popular TV personality and Rugby Union pundit Mark Durden-Smith. The 2021 finalists include many former award winners, finalists, and some new nominees.

Commenting on the news, NTDA chief executive Stefan Hay said: “There is no denying, that getting to this stage has been a long, frustrating and bumpy road. After the terrible disappointment of having to cancel last year’s event, we are now finally getting back on track and would like to thank all of the member companies who have supported the association and entered the Tyre Industry Awards this year.

“As always, we’ve had a fantastic array of quality submissions, although, as always, we would like to have received more tyre retailer entries, as after all, we are an association for tyre retailers!

“Nevertheless, we are certain that we’re set for another unforgettable evening, especially as my co-host this year is Mark Durden-Smith who caused much hilarity in 2018 with his mad-cap antics. For many in the trade, October cannot come soon enough!”
