STARCO distributing Kenda PCR range in Poland
STARCO is expanding its remit as distributor of the Kenda passenger car tyre range. It took on responsibility for these products in the Swiss market three years ago, and will now begin distributing Kenda passenger car tyres in Poland.
“Since STARCO was acquired by Kenda in 2017, we have been strengthening our synergies through joint projects. Although at STARCO we are still strongly focusing on OEM, we are also present in some selected aftermarket areas in line with Kenda’s PCR tyre strategy in Europe,” comments the Danish firm.
The company has expanded its distribution centre in Poland by a further 3,000 m2 in the last two years in order to supply increased customer demand from larger OEM customers. It will now utilise the space and infrastructure at the 5,500 m2 Mielec site, some 75 miles east of Krakow, to supply Kenda car tyres to the aftermarket.
“I strongly believe Polish customers will welcome the Kenda PCR tyre range,” comments Wojciech Woliński, sales manager responsible for Kenda passenger car tyres in Poland. “The brand has been known among bicycle and motorcycle users in Europe which is always a good reference. Our premium quality tyres at economy prices are without a doubt going to take a key position on the Polish market.”
STARCO is following a multi-channel strategy to market Kenda PCR tyres and comments that the range is already being stocked by the First Stop network. The Kenda portfolio offered in Poland includes 14- to 19-inch car, SUV 4×4 summer tyres. This line-up will soon be completed by winter products as well as an all-season range tailored to the European market. All lines should be available from August.
