Stapleton’s exclusive brands offer high performance tyres

Stapleton’s (Tyre Services) is conservatively optimistic for the summer months thanks to its exclusive brands, which offer particularly strong UHP tyres in the mid-range. Korean manufacturer Nexen Tire is due to begin shipping new N’Fera and N’Blue tyres to the UK imminently, while the latest tyres from Maxxis have helped the Taiwan-based brand to its best year of independent tyre test results ever in 2020.

Citing the truism that tyres are the only point of contact a vehicle has with the road, Stapleton’s says it is crucial they deliver a powerful performance worthy of your vehicle’s capabilities, particularly important as the vehicle becomes more powerful. The exclusive UK distributor says Nexen Tyres fulfil this need “beautifully,” with its latest UHP tyres hitting the road soon thanks to the recent Audi A3 OEM fitment deal for the anticipated N’Fera Sport and N’Blue S.

Nexen N’Fera SU1

The existing N’Fera SU1 and N’Fera RU1 make up Nexen’s formidable current range for this segment. The Nexen N’Fera SU1 is formulated for fun with powerful wet grip and balance at high speeds, overall promising a sporty driving experience. The Nexen N’Fera RU1 caters to the growing high-end SUV market, delivering optimal ride comfort for passengers. The tyre offers “component-specific design and vibration control technology” for a high-quality UK driving experience.

Crowned “clear test winner” in the 2021 Vi Bilägare Summer Tyre Test, the Maxxis Premitra HP5 high performance tyre achieved the fastest dry road lap time of all eight tyres tested, including a number of premium brands. The magazine commented: “On a dry road, stability and steering response are top notch… In wet conditions, the grip level remains high, and the behaviour is easy to handle with a neutral balance. In addition, it is best of all against aquaplaning.”

Referencing the challenges of the last year to importers in particular, including the pandemic, Brexit, and the Ever Given Suez logjam, the UK’s largest tyre wholesaler pays tribute to “the hard work and sheer determination” of its team and suppliers. For many businesses, Brexit has been a fierce task which is continuing to cause turmoil, Stapleton’s says, while Covid-19 completely ripped up the rule book, bringing new complications into the mix. The Suez Canal blockage pushed “strategies and stocks to their limits,” it adds.

Nexen has recently secured an OE deal for the Audi A3
