Prinx Chengshan opens European warehouse
With the opening of its new central warehouse last month, Prinx Chengshan can now supply its wholesale customers in all parts of Europe with locally-held stocks. The new Prinx Chengshan Tire Europe GmbH facility is situated in the south of Germany, and initially, it will exclusively stock Fortune passenger car tyres.
Having a warehouse here in Europe helps the Chinese firm ensure better availability and thus strengthens ties with its exclusive partners throughout Europe. Indeed, Prinx Chengshan states that the European central warehouse’s commissioning “once again serves the further and steady expansion” of its European business and determined growth strategy.
Prinx Chengshan decided to open a central warehouse in Europe as soon as possible due to continuously rising freight costs as well as the increasing problems with supply chains from Asia and associated delivery bottlenecks. At the same time, the warehouse enables Prinx Chengshan to optimise its partner service concept, better equipping it to react quickly and flexibly to increasing demand and to satisfy customer needs in a timely manner.
Next step in growth strategy
“We highly appreciate the loyalty of our partners and want to demonstrate this appreciation by opening a European central warehouse, among other things,” says Thomas Wohlgemuth, Prinx Chengshan’s European chief executive officer. “The opening of our first tyre warehouse directly in Europe, in Germany, where we also have our European headquarters since 2019, is a milestone in our sales goal to develop and intensify strategic, long-term relationships with key European distributors in European countries. The opening of a central warehouse in Europe was also therefore the next step in our growth strategy.”
The warehouse’s location in the south of Germany makes the site the “ideal hub” for the Prinx Chengshan supply chain within Europe. “We are pleased that with the new European central warehouse we can optimise our logistics infrastructure and offer our customers a better service,” adds Wohlgemuth.
Despite the fact that Prinx Chengshan Tire Europe will become more responsive and flexible with the central warehouse, the company points out that it doesn’t offer direct sales. It is already planning to additionally stock further product segments within the central warehouse at a later date.
