Jürgen Titz becomes partner of German wholesaler Gamma
Almost a year after Jürgen Titz announced his departure from Goodyear after more than 22 years of service, he is back in the tyre industry. The experienced manager, who most recently served as Goodyear’s managing director consumer Europe Central and chairman of Goodyear Dunlop Tires Germany, has now taken on a partnership role within the tyre trade.
Gamma Reifen und Felgen Großhandels AG, a wholesaler of tyres and rims based in the north German town of Friesoythe, reports that Jürgen Titz became a partner on 1 May. In a statement, company founders Stephan and Thomas Warm said: “Jürgen Titz has a profound knowledge of the tyre industry and extensive experience, which we will now use together to ensure that Gamma AG is sustainably successful. As the long-standing managing director of a leading tyre maker’s DACH and Central Europe region, he is highly familiar with the market conditions of the market players. We are very pleased to welcome Mr Titz as a member of the board of directors and shareholder of Gamma AG.”
Increasing complexity in the areas of product range and logistics requires more intensive forms of joint cooperation and digitalisation across the entire value chain. “With the customer as core focus, Gamma AG is already in an exemplary position today and has exciting plans to further intensify and professionalise this path and thus continue to ensure a sustainable future for the company and its employees,” says Jürgen Titz. “Gamma AG remains an owner-managed company,” add Stephan and Thomas Warm.
