Marangoni launches bead-to-bead Marix range in Italy
Retreading specialist Marangoni considers both the performance and appearance of its products the “main Marangoni goal” when developing new solutions. Marangoni notes that while reliability, durability and performance are “indispensable requirements” for a premium retreaded tyre, it has observed a “growing request” from fleets for greater attention to detail and accuracy in tyre aesthetics.
Responding to this demand in its domestic market, the Italian company has combined technology and innovation to “perfect its bead-to-bead cold retreading system.” The result, says Marangoni, is the Ringtire solution, which guarantees “excellent results from all points of view,” including aesthetics, providing a retreaded tyre that is “as good as the new one.”
Complements the advantages of Ringtread
Achieving this aim when retreading using the cold or pre-cure process involves covering the sidewalls with a special compound that provides the tyre with greater resistance to impacts and scrapes, thereby providing better performance as well as an improvement in the tyre’s appearance. For tyres retreaded using Blackline precured tread rings, Marangoni says this benefit combines with all the advantages of its Ringtread technology – greater mileage, lower fuel consumption and maximum grip.
Combining the Ringtread System with shearographic control – a standard processing step for all Marangoni products manufactured in Rovereto, Italy – additionally guarantees “absolute reliability” for the retreaded Marix tyre, which Marangoni backs with a five-year guarantee. “Marangoni has taken on this commitment, since it can rely on the fact that production is carried out in accordance with the highest globally recognised technological standards, based on the exclusive use of quality-tested raw materials,” shares the retreading specialist.
Marangoni currently offers bead-to-bead pre-cure Marix retreads in four dimensions (315/80 R 22.5, 385/65 R 22.5, 315/70 R 22.5 and 385/55 R 22.5). It aims to extend the bead-to-bead pre-cure retreading system to other sizes and profiles to satisfy customer demand for tyres that perform well and look good.
