John Thomas named president & CEO of Toyo Tire U.S.A.
Toyo Tires has appointed a new president and chief executive officer at its Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. subsidiary. As of 1 May, John Thomas will take on this role.
Thomas brings more than 30 years of automotive experience to the role and joins the tyre maker from Webasto Charging Systems Inc., where he also served as president and chief executive officer. He will report to Tatsuo Mitsuhata, chairman of the board of Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. Located at Toyo Tires’ global headquarters in Japan, Mitsuhata is also a director and corporate officer of Toyo Tire Corporation and vice president of the Sales Headquarters.
Aggressive USA growth plans

All departments at Toyo Tires, including Sales, Finance, Pricing & Planning, Marketing, and Product Planning & Technical Services will report directly to Thomas.

Thomas succeeds Roy Bromfield who will retire in July after nearly nine years with Toyo Tires and 37 years in the tyre industry. Bromfield will serve as an advisor to Toyo Tires at least through the end of 2021.
