Jinyu Vietnam factory produces first truck tyre

Jinyu’s Vietnamese tyre plant has produced its first TBR tyre. The milestone for the new facility caps nine months of intense construction, as the project team of Jinyu (Vietnam) Tire Co, Ltd overcome multiple challenges including the Covid-19 pandemic. The facility includes 19 buildings over 130,000 square meters, containing 894 pieces of equipment. The production of the first tyre at 10:08 on 30 March 2021 marks the completion of the production line and lays a solid foundation for the start of volume production in May.

Jinyu (Vietnam) Tire is the first overseas production base of the Jinyu Tire Group. It was planned and constructed with digitisation at its heart, connecting demand from customers with its R&D and production. In Jinyu’s words, the new plant features “Industrial Intelligent Equipment, Operation Excellence Management System, Intelligent Production Management System, Automatic Control System, Safety Control System, CRM system, achieving scientific decision-making and continuous improvements, pursuing the quality commitment of ‘Time proves Quality’.”

Jinyu adds that the establishment of its Vietnam project “will optimise Jinyu Tire Group’s global supply chain and give a solid base for the group’s globalisation strategy.” The new facility will enable the supply of its value products and service to more customers all over the world, including the local Vietnam market, Jinyu concludes.
