Guizhou Tire Vietnam factory completes first phase

The first batch of radial truck tyres rolled off the production line at Guizhou Tire Co Ltd’s Vietnam plant on 1 April 2021, marking the completion of the first phase of the factory project. When Guizhou Tire’s Vietnam tyre factory, which was funded through a share issue in September last year, gets up to speed it will produce 1.2 million radial tyres a year.

The new tyre factory is located in Longjiang Industrial Park, Xinfu County, Qianjiang Province, Vietnam and has a budget of 1.476 billion yuan (£162 million; 188 million euros; US$227 million). Now the first phase is complete two more phases will follow. Next, Guizhou Tire reports that it will speed up the construction of phase II and phase III which includes a raw material workshop, rubber mixing workshop, a further radial tyre production area, finished product warehouse, testing centre, expert building and sewage treatment station.
