BYD EA1 debuts on Chaoyang tyres
Chinese car maker BYD debuted its new EA1 electric hatchback at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show, and ZC Rubber is proud to share that the car was unveiled with Chaoyang tyres as original equipment. The EA1 wears Chaoyang RP76 tyres in size 195/60 R16.
The BYD EA1 is the first of a series of planned electric models. The car rides on a newly-developed platform, E-Platform 3.0, which can accommodate 800 volt charging structures. BYD claims that cars using this platform are capable of gaining 150 kilometres of charge within five minutes, and it speaks of up to 1,000 kilometres of range being achievable.
BYD hasn’t said much about its plans to bring the EA1 to market, however motoring publications in Australia are already discussing its upcoming arrival in this market at a price of “well under” AU$35,000 (£19,600).
