BKT launches Skid Max SR-Skidder
BKT is introducing a new range for loaders and telehandlers that operate in road maintenance or waste material applications. It says it specifically developed the all-steel radial BKT Skid Max SR-Skidder for use in “extremely heavy work environments and on hard surfaces.”
Noting that tyres used in such heavy-duty applications need to be puncture- and abrasion-resistant while being capable of stably transporting heavy loads, BKT describes the Skid Max SR-Skidder as a “perfect mix of all these requirements.” It adds that the new tyre offers longer product life and high load capacity.
“The robust casing is equipped with an all-steel structure with steel belts which confer greater resistance on the casing and therefore against aggression, such as for example punctures and the penetration by foreign bodies. Also the thickness of the side helps minimise the risk of punctures and accidental damage and so consequent vehicle downtime,” states BKT.
In addition, Skid Max SR-Skidder is equipped with a guard which protects against any punctures and impacts which could damage the area around the rim. The tread has been designed with a continuous central block which, in combination with the compound, which is anti-static and extremely resistant to abrasion, is said to guarantee “excellent traction and long product life.”
Finally, BKT points out that it has “not forgotten” how important it is that this tyre guarantees optimal comfort for the operators who drive these vehicles for long periods of time. “That is why Skid Max SR-Skidder can also guarantee excellent comfort and stability in everyday work.”
BKT Skid Max SR-Skidder is currently available in size 260/70 R 12.5 (10 R 16.5).
