Yokohama appoints Watanabe head of tyre design department

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has appointed Koji Watanabe to the position of Associate Officer, Deputy Head of Tire Development Div., Head of Tire Designing Dept. No.3. Previously he was Associate Officer, Deputy Head of Tire Development Div., Head of TBR Tire Design Dept.

With company officials describing the announcement as a “change in senior management”, the news was announced on 29 March. According to an official Yokohama statement, the move is effective the following day – 30 March 2021.

The news comes at the same time as a series of leadership changes are taking place in Yokohama’s North American tyre operations.
