Davanti range offers UHP and utilitarian SUV tyres
With a growing number of SUVs on the roads – both ICE and electric – there is an increasing need for high-performance tyres that can handle heavier loads without sacrificing performance. Whether you need a sporty, lower-profile tyre or a more traditional offering, company representatives say Davanti Tyres has a range that addresses such demands.
For example, designed as a UHP tyre, the DX640 is said to be “so agile you could be forgiven for forgetting you were driving an SUV.”
The DX740, on the other hand, is aimed at those that need a tyre for more utilitarian SUV applications. Designed to offer the performance levels of its UHP cousin, but built for the larger SUV market, the DX740 is said to combine comfort and responsiveness.
“During our range development, consumer tastes were already trending towards larger vehicles,” said Peter Cross, general manager of Davanti Tyres adding:
“We tested our tyres on a range of vehicles in more than 40 disciplines across Europe’s toughest proving grounds to make sure that both the DX640 and DX740 performed exceptionally for SUV applications.
“In the UHP sector SUV tyres are generally reducing in sidewall profile, and getting wider, this challenges the tyre to be capable of supporting heavier loads while delivering sports responsiveness. By spotting that early we were able to ensure that our range met consumer needs from day one. That approach meant Davanti dealers had an advantage as they have always had access to the right sizes with the right performance characteristics when their customers needed it.”
