Point S launches summer tyre, new exclusive branding
Tyre retailer and car maintenance brand Point S is launching a new version of its exclusive brand summer tyre. It says the tyre offers better efficiency, safety and longevity. The company is keeping the branding of its house brand tyre line simple; the range is branded “Point S Tyres” and will include Summer, Winter and 4 Seasons patterns. The new Point S Tyres Summer replaces its Summerstar 3+. The company says it invested in research and development to achieve a range of performance improvements, including 7 per cent better rolling resistance, 5 per cent longer mileage, and 3 per cent shorter wet braking distances. The full Point S Tyres Summer range is rated B for wet grip in the European tyre label. The tyre will be distributed in the European, African and Asian markets.
Point S says the new tyre was produced in “close collaboration with a European manufacturer.” The Summer has a design developed and manufactured exclusively for the Point S network’s near-3,000 points of sale in the three continents. Like the rest of the Point S Tyres range, the Summer is manufactured exclusively in Europe. It covers 83 dimensions and fits vehicles including high performance cars, SUVs, and vans.
“We are committed to regularly updating our range of tyres we sell, as much as in our technological offer and in our fleet coverage and we have been doing this for more than 20 years,” comments Fabien Bouquet, managing director of Point S Development.
“This new range, developed, tested and manufactured in Europe, meets the growing demand of our customers in the value for money segment. Its performance, in particular with regards to increased safety criteria, allows us to provide the guarantee of our brand and our recognised tyre expertise: “No Stress with Point S”.
“This customer promise will also be particularly supported this year by our communication for the 50th anniversary of our brand.”
The launch of this new range of tyres is accompanied by an international communication and advertising campaign: “Point S Tyres, approved by the roads.”
