Marangoni increasing prices in Europe

As of 1 March 2021, the price of the rubber materials that Marangoni Retreading Systems supplies for tyre retreading will increase by 0.20 euros per kilogramme in all European markets. Marangoni says this increase reflects price increases for raw materials used within the sector.

“The price increase of raw materials has already forced various manufacturers of new tyres and/or materials for retreading to declare price increases or programme them for the coming weeks,” comments the retreading specialist. “Marangoni believes that these increases will not have a negative effect on the competitiveness of the retreading industry. Actually, the retreaded tyre, since it uses less raw materials compared to the new product, will benefit from this trend.”
