Manitou approves Alliance 585 for MLT NewAg Telehandlers

Heavy equipment manufacturer Manitou has homologated the Alliance 585 tyre range as an option for its MLT NewAg telehandlers. The Alliance 585 is now available from the factory on MLT NewAg and NewAg XL ranges in size 460/70R24.

“Alliance 585 tyres are now available on many models of the MLT NewAg and NewAg XL ranges. These tyres respond to an increased demand from customers who are looking for tyres suitable for the challenging usage on hard surfaces,” says Camille Rouvrais, Manitou Group’s global product manager (MLT).

The latest approval builds on the two companies’ existing relationship. Manitou honoured Alliance Tire Group, as Yokohama Off-Highway Tires was known prior to this year, with a supplier award in 2019.

Efficiency, versatility & reliability

Commenting on Manitou’s decision to homologate the Alliance 585, Kristoff Van der Burght, head of OEM, Europe at Yokohama Off-Highway Tires, says: “We see growing tendencies towards machines used for versatile tasks and operations, i.e. machines that are used in various surroundings for loading and unloading, all kinds of tasks on farm yards as well as road transport on a day by day or even hour by hour basis. This requires machines that offer true versatility – such as telehandlers – and this also requires tyres that deliver a perfect job whatever the circumstances are. That is exactly what the Alliance 585 stands for.”
