BKT’s Bhuj site gains ISO/IEC 17025:2017

Specialist off-highway tyre maker BKT has gained ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification for the tyre testing and calibration capabilities within the laboratory at its Bhuj plant in India’s Gujarat state. Certification was awarded by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) according to international standards.

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 specifies the general requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistent operation of laboratories. BKT says this certification will result in safer and more reliable tyres. Obtaining this internationally-recognised certification also removes the need for additional testing to be carried out when exporting products, thereby reducing costs and lead times.
