Mitas tyres OE on 2021 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S

Motorcycle manufacturer KTM says its 1290 Super Adventure S offers “unmatched sportiness with unrivalled performance,” promising riders a motorcycle “capable of chewing up many miles of varying terrain with untroubled ease.” These miles will be Mitas miles: KTM Sportmotorcycle GmbH has chosen the Mitas Terra Force-R as original equipment tyre for its new 160 hp travel-enduro bike. The 2021 KTM 1290 Super Adventure wears Terra Force-R tyres in the front wheel size 120/70ZR19 60W TL and rear size 170/60ZR17 72W TL.

This is the second time that KTM has sought out Mitas tyres for its machines. It approved the Mitas E-07 on the 2019 KTM 690 Enduro R, a supply arrangement for which it honoured Mitas with a KTM Supplier Excellence Award 2019.

Mitas designed the Terra Force-R as a 90/10 adventure tyre, with tread, compound and construction geared towards 90 per cent road and ten per cent off-road use. According to Mitas, the Terra Force-R is ideal for riders looking for a tyre that performs not only at highway speeds and on country roads, but can also handle gravel “whenever they feel the desire to explore beyond roads.”
