Ducati approves 3 Pirelli tyres for Multistrada V4
Ducati’s latest bike for the maxi enduro segment is the Multistrada V4. Like the three prior generations of Multistrada, the new V4 rides on Pirelli tyres. It will be sold with the Pirelli Scorpion Trail II as original equipment, while the Scorpion Rally STR and Scorpion Rally off-road tyres are also homologated for the new bike.
Pirelli has worked closely with Ducati since the Multistrada project’s inception in 2003. The first-generation Multistrada was equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Sync tyres, while Ducati chose Pirelli Scorpion Trail tyres for the new 2010 model. In 2015, the Multistrada 1200 became the first model sold with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres as original equipment.
The Multistrada V4 S and Multistrada V4 S Sport models can be purchased either with light alloy cast wheels or spoked wheels. Bot wheel options are supplied with the Pirelli Scorpion Trail II in the front wheel size 120/70 ZR19 M/C 60W TL (D) and rear size 170/60 ZR17 M/C 72W TL (U), a specification developed specifically for the new Multistrada.
