Restore plc joins EV100 to build electric vehicle future
Restore plc, the group that specialises in providing office support services, including records management and document destruction among others, has announced that it is joining EV100; a global initiative to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles (EVs).
The company says that it will transition its fleet (almost 300 vehicles) to EV and will install charging points at its facilities, which number nearly 30. These charging points utilise home-generated electricity from photovoltaic roof panelling and Restore currently has three new EV vans working at its Harrow Green Records Management site and a large electric collections truck will begin working at the group’s Datashred facility in the New Year.
Speaking on the group’s website, Charles Bligh, Restore’s CEO, says: “At Restore plc we are focusing on sustainability and a massive part of that is on how to transition our extensive fleet across our five business units to electric. So we are delighted to join the Climate Group’s EV100 project.”
