Vredestein expands Traxion 65 tractor tyre range to 19 sizes

Vredestein has expanded its Traxion 65 tractor tyre series. First introduced at Agritechnica 2019, Vredestein has added 15 sizes, covering a complete range from 16 to 42 inches. All 19 tyres are available for the aftermarket and various tractor brands are offering them factory fitted. The Traxion 65 series is Vredestein’s follow-up to the popular Traxion+. It was redesigned to incorporate the latest technologies developed for the Vredestein Traxion Optimall VF. Proven features, including the curved lugs and the large contact area in the middle of the tread, have been retained, with comfort and traction characteristics improved.

The Traxion 65 adds driving comfort with low noise levels via a large contact area. Tests carried out on the RDW test track showed that noise levels in the cabin are 29 per cent down on the brand’s major premium competitors. For tractor drivers, who often spend extended periods behind the wheel, the benefits of this are clear, but pass-by noise has also been reduced to 22 per cent less than the competitor tyre.

Vredestein’s curved lug is almost perpendicular to the direction of travel, increasing the Traxion 65’s pulling power. The increased distance between the lugs from the centre to the side of the tread also boosts self-cleaning, especially on heavy soils. This ensures that the tyre keeps the traction and reduces the amount of mud left on the road. The combination of the tread compound and profile also improves its lifespan. Vredestein claims the tyre will last 30 per cent longer than its premium competitors.
