Retread achieves 500,000 miles in America

Marangoni Tread North America reports that an RDG 200 Ringtread Drive retread has been driven for over 500,000 miles. The RDG 200 Ringtread is a closed shoulder drive tread uses particular compounding technology for “extreme mileage”. The RDG 200’s original tread depth is 27/32nds (21.5 mm).

The retreads were placed in service on 8 December 2015 where they were driven by Douglas Simons Trucking and removed in July 2020 after 500,347. The retreads were based on LP22.5 Pirelli FH-01 casings and were retreaded by Wilson County Tire in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Doug Simons, owner of Douglas Simons Trucking commented: “I knew the RDG 200 from Marangoni was a strong performer and had very good traction in all weather conditions, and I was amazed by the mileage we were experiencing. Each time we took our measurements, the expected mileage kept increasing. This Ringtread works!”
