Pro-Align: Quick Check Drive is ‘a wheel servicing revolution’
The development of modern car technology has accelerated as fast as ever before and manufacturers producing the systems that allow workshops to service these vehicles effectively have also developed at a fast rate. In some cases, the development has been a technological necessity needed to keep pace with vehicle development, but in other cases, the development is driven by the vision to provide a better, more efficient servicing solution.
Recently introduced to the UK, the Hunter Quick Check Drive is a prime example of this type of development. Available exclusively from Pro-Align, Quick Check Drive is a drive-through, non-contact wheel alignment inspection system that can help workshops of all sizes generate significant levels of additional revenue.
Without any need to attach sensors or targets, there’s not even any need for the vehicle to stop. By embracing technology with this new approach, businesses can diagnose the wheel alignment settings of every single vehicle entering the workshop, identifying multiple upsell opportunities in a matter of seconds.
The ground-breaking system comprises of two slim profile units, which Pro-Align recommends are sited in the workshop’s entrance. Both units contain 16 lasers which are used to assess the vehicle’s total toe and individual camber measurements. What’s more, the units also contain several cameras which are used to record 40-60 high-definition images of the car as it enters the workshop, helping to eliminate any fraudulent body damage claims.
In addition to the system’s sophisticated hardware, Hunter’s engineers have also developed it’s software to ensure that it is fully integrated with HunterNet, Hunter’s cloud based workshop management tool. Not only does this software allow workshops to conduct analysis on their alignment results but it also provides a valuable, transparent communication platform with customers, allowing them to see their alignment results instantaneously via a reception based flightboard or through their smart phone. This development greatly enhances the work of service advisors, helping them to sell a wheel alignment adjustment job much more easily, according to the comapny.
“Hunter Quick Check Drive is probably one of the most exciting technological developments to hit the aftermarket for a number of years,” Clive Seabrook, CEO, Pro-Align, commented, adding: “Not only does it benefit the customer by providing a more comprehensive and transparent service, but it also offers workshops a fantastic return on their investment too.”
