Kordsa awarded Gold sustainability by Ecovadis
Kordsa has been awarded the Gold rating for sustainability by Ecovadis. The rating reflects the tyre and construction reinforcement material supplier’s commitment to achieving sustainability. It also calls Kordsa outstanding in the environment, sustainable procurement, workforce and human resources categories. The Gold award places Kordsa within the top companies among more than 40,000 surveyed for their sustainability credentials between 2015-2019.
Kordsa says it is continuing to create value for stakeholders while developing environmentally friendly projects. It says sustainability is “the heart of every step Kordsa takes, and every technology Kordsa develops.”
Ecovadis assesses small, medium-sized and large private and public companies for their corporate responsibilities and sustainability activities. Its criteria include environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The analysis also considers each company’s industry, size and geographical location. Following the evidence-based assessment, a score from 0 to 100 is given to companies. Companies reporting the highest scores are classified as bronze, silver and gold companies.
