September start for Nokian’s new Supply Operations SVP
As Nokian Tyres reported earlier in the year, it selected Adrian Kaczmarczyk to succeed Esa Eronen as senior vice president of Supply Operations following the latter’s retirement. He officially commenced in this new role on Tuesday after gradually familiarising himself with the company and its business during the past half-year, and also joins the tyre maker’s management team.
The new SVP comments that beginning a new job in the middle of a pandemic isn’t easy: “I’m in charge of our supply operations, and I’m not a person who likes to manage an organisation from an office. Normally, I always go to the factory and connect with the people, but this is now restricted by the coronavirus, which means I do probably have to spend more time on the phone and Teams. My plan is to start spending more time on site as soon as the situation allows it. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Adrian Kaczmarczyk joins Nokian Tyres from Chemours, where he was vice president of global operations and supply chain. He has a total of 24 years’ experience in leading and developing supply operations around the world. Born in Poland and raised in Germany, Kaczmarczyk holds an MBA from the University of Surrey.
