Liqui Moly becomes official partner of the Handball Champions League
The title sponsor of the Liqui Moly Handball Bundesliga is expanding its commitment to handball for the coming season of the EHF (European Handball Federation) Champions League and is becoming an official partner. The Liqui Moly brand will be prominently displayed both on the hall floor and on the media walls.
The lubricant specialist from Ulm is thus consistently pursuing its success in sponsoring top-class sports to help its brand become even better known. Handball is thus the company’s largest sponsorship component – besides motorsport. “Handball is growing in popularity. It is a hard, down-to-earth and fair sport. These characteristics are an excellent match for our brand. We are a traditional German brand that stands for partnership, trust and fairness like no other in the industry,” explains Peter Baumann, Marketing Director at Liqui Moly. “The audience is closer to the action than in most other sports and shares in the excitement of the clubs. With our brand, we want to represent these emotions and profit from the positive image of this sport. Just as the EHF benefits from the excellent reputation of our brand made in Germany,” Baumann continues.
The season starts on 16.09.2020 with HC Meshkov Brest from Belarus against HC Vardar from North Macedonia. The final will take place on 13 June 2021.
Liqui Moly is particularly active in sports sponsorship. In addition to its involvement in motorsport, such as Formula 1 and MotoGP, the lubricant specialist also supports athletics championships and major alpine events, such as the Hahnenkamm Races.
