Petlas presents RM900, RM910 military tyres

Petlas has introduced two new military tyre models, the RM900 and RM910. The products are dedicated to mixed use, designed to increase performance and driving safety for vehicles in the event of damage to the tyres. With proper inflation, Petlas says the new tyres provide significant benefits for armored support vehicles, such as ride comfort, maneuverability, steering stability and help in overcoming obstacles. The two tyres are designed to boost traction in mud, sand and snow.

Their impact and cut resistance properties make them particularly suited to military applications. The internal runflat system protects the tyre from breaking or shattering under attack by ballistic missiles or other road hazards. They can continue to work even if the air in the tyre has been completely released, operating for about 60 miles at a speed of 30mph with zero air pressure. Another advantage of this feature is the elimination of the need for a spare wheel, offering extra space and load potential, and reducing weight and fuel consumption.
