New BKT Earthmax tyres for earthmoving and mining
BKT is launching three new Earthmax models which, according to the company, will complete the range. The new tyres are the Earthmax SR 412 – a 29.5R25 tyre designed to equip articulated dump trucks with a tread pattern that optimises traction; the Earthmax SR 475 – specially developed for rigid dump trucks, and available in size 18.00 R 33; and the Earthmax SR 452 – previewed at the ConExpo 2020 fair in Las Vegas last March, the size 24.00R35 tyre was developed for rigid trucks requiring greater traction and stability on uneven terrain.
All three tyres are intended for heavy duty applications. They feature a deep E4 tread design and a square shoulder to ensure excellent handling and manoeuvrability, while minimizing vibration and noise. They offer a greater number of working hours, higher speed, and increased tonnage per hour per mile. The compounds used also contribute to a longer life cycle, less heat generation and better cut resistance.
New Earthmax SR 53, SR 57 sizes
BKT is also launching a new dimension in its Earthmax SR 53 range. The new 45/65 R 45 tyre is an L5 design designed for loaders operating in difficult conditions, such as quarries and mines. The tread is composed of a particularly cut-resistant compound that does not overheat. Furthermore, it has been designed to provide increased self-cleaning properties, which facilitate the expulsion of stones and foreign bodies.
Last but not least, the Indian tyre manufacturer is expanding the Earthmax SR 57 range with a new dimension, 10.00 R 15. This equipment has been developed to equip mini loaders operating in underground mines. Extremely resistant to cuts and punctures, this tyre features an L5 tread specially designed for underground service in mines.
