Kenda denies Indonesia relocation plans
Kenda Rubber Industrial has been producing bicycle and motorcycle tyres at its Indonesia plant since 2015. According to local media reports, the Taiwanese manufacturer now wants to move production capacity from China to Indonesia. The tyre company has denies the reports.
Specifically, during June Reuters reported that Kenda has invested $150 million in its factory in Banten, Indonesia operation. However, in answer to questions along these lines, company representatives quashed the reports: “we cannot speak of a move of our Chinese car production to Indonesia”.
