Continental adds 10 sizes to its CombineMaster tyre range

Having made its CombineMaster tyre available in a VF version, Continental has added 10 new sizes to extend the range. The first VF CombineMaster tyre in size 500/85R24 became available in July. Both versions of the CombineMaster feature the patented N.flex and d.fine lug technology for “flexibility with low vibration on the carcass and high resistance to wear and tear”.

According to Continental, combine harvesters place particular demands on tyres. During harvesting, they have to withstand both cyclical loads in the field and high speeds on the road. While the counterweight of the cutter bar provides relief for the tyres in the field, they are confronted with significantly higher weight on asphalt. VF tyres are designed to enable farmers to save time and fuel, as well as avoid damaging soil compaction. Whereas previously it was necessary to adjust the tyre pressure to the various work steps, VF technology allows the tyre to be used at lower air pressure.
