Denso product update ‘strengthens’ vehicle parc coverage
Denso Aftermarket has released a comprehensive new-to-range update, covering thermal system, spark plug, wiper blade and fuel pump component categories. More than 70 new references are spread among the product groups, which increases the choice available to distributors and technicians, and expands Denso’s UK and Ireland vehicle parc coverage.
Focusing on thermal systems first, specifically compressors and parts for the air conditioning system, Denso Aftermarket has updated its range with 46 original equipment (OE) quality part numbers – 12 compressors, two actuators, 10 resistors, 11 pressure switches and 11 expansion valves – linked to 89 OE numbers to cover an additional 2,325 vehicles.
Nowadays, in-car climate control is considered more of an expectation, rather than luxury, meaning air conditioning offers the aftermarket an ever-increasing opportunity and Denso Aftermarket is able to cater for this growing demand. Fitted as OE on almost a quarter of European cars, customers can be safe in the knowledge that they’re fitting premium components.
Switching to spark plugs, a sector where Denso has been one of the world’s pioneers for more than 60 years, DENSO Aftermarket has increased its Iridium Power offering by another five OE quality references; therefore, stretching coverage to another 61 vehicles.
Iridium Power requires a small amount of voltage to achieve high ignitability, which greatly improves combustion and also provides an economical benefit to the motorist; when comparing a standard plug (W20FS-U) with an Iridium Power (IWF22) on a two-cycle 50cc engine, for example, tests showed a five per cent improvement in fuel consumption.
On the wiper blade front, there are 19 new references within the OE adapter flat blade range, providing coverage to more than 800 applications and linked to 40 OE part numbers. Flat wiper blades hug every windscreen closely and evenly, thanks to precise tailoring to the curvature of the windscreen, to wipe away rain and debris in even the worst weather conditions. With sleek styling and long life, they offer all-round appeal to every motorist.
Two new OE quality fuel pump references make-up the final part of the update. Seven OE part numbers are tied in to another 17 applications. Thanks to turbine pump technology, with a V-shaped internal impellor, fuel is delivered with minimal pressure pulsation – meaning very low noise – and DENSO Aftermarket fuel pumps can also be trusted for accurately measuring pressure, optimising performance.
Each and every one of these new part numbers is available now, from either Denso’s E-catalogue or TecDoc.
