BKT becomes TotY partner

The Tractor of the Year (TotY) awards have a new partner – off-highway tyre specialist BKT. The partnership begins today and will last for a period of four years.

Since being established by Italian magazine Trattori in 1998, TotY has developed into an annual international award. A jury of 25 independent journalists from the field of agricultural mechanisation determine what is the best tractor in the European market in four categories – Best Utility, Best of Specialized, Sustainable TotY and Tractor of the Year. Finalists for the 2020 awards were announced at the Agritechnica show last year, with the winners scheduled to be announced at EIMA 2020. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, this will now take place next February.

BKT says it shares a “lot in common” with TotY: It describes the award as a” symbol of cutting-edge technology and a vision of the future”, two concepts which are “very dear to BKT”. It also identifies a unity with the awards through shared principles such as the “central role of sustainability, absolute quality and support for technological research.”
