Apollo Tyres restarting production in Hungary & India
Production at Apollo Tyres’ factory in Hungary will partially recommence tomorrow, a month after the tyre maker scaled back production there and in its Enschede plant in the Netherlands in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
In addition, Apollo Tyres reported on 25 April that production at its Kalamassery and Limda facilities had partially resumed, following the earlier restart of production at the Perambra site.
The production of agricultural tyres has continued throughout the past weeks in Enschede, and Apollo Vredestein shares that passenger car tyre production recommenced at this site a couple of weeks ago. The company intends to move some of its tyre car production from Enschede to Hungary within the next couple of years and focus the plant’s passenger car tyre output on specific products.
