Pirelli announces slowdown plan for USA factory

In addition to pausing production in the UK, Pirelli will first reduce production at its plant in Rome, USA and then close it completely for a week.

The slowdown begins 22 March. On Sunday 29 March, the facility will close for one week to be cleaned and sanitised.

“Implementing a slower rate of production will result in a reduction in the number of employees present, ensuring the safety of those in the factory, while not interrupting supply to our clients,” shared Pirelli in a statement. “Pirelli is constantly monitoring the evolution of the situation and is ready at any moment to adopt additional measures if they become necessary.”
