Continental appoints Bernabé to head Romanian tyre plant
Carlos Bernabé has returned to Continental’s tyre factory in Timișoara, Romania to take on the role of plant manager. The four-decade Continental veteran officially began in this position on 1 February after managing the company’s tyre plant in Alor Setar Malaysia for three years; prior to his sojourn in Malaysia, he worked at the Timișoara plant as production manager.
“I feel very privileged to return to Timișoara and to take part in the continuous development of our factory here,” comments Bernabé. “I am impressed how the team has evolved and I’m convinced that we will continue to develop efficiently and produce the best quality tyres.”
Bernabé’s career with Continental began in France in 1979. In addition to holding several management positions there and the above-mentioned roles, he has also worked for Continental in Portugal, Brazil, India and China.
