Halfords and Mobivia forge long term sourcing alliance
Halfords and Mobivia have forged a joint purchasing alliance relating to own-brand products. The idea is to offer “more effective joint product development and greater innovation in both companies’ motoring and cycling ranges”.
Mobivia is the European leader in vehicle maintenance and equipment, with over 2,080 workshops and automotive stores across its networks (Norauto, A.T.U, Midas and Carter-Cash). The French group is behind 9 brands and 27 start-ups.
Graham Stapleton, Halfords chief executive officer, said: “In line with our strategy to remain focused on our key motoring and cycling offer, I am delighted to announce that we have recently entered into an alliance with Mobivia. By working together and making the most of our collective product expertise and sourcing capability, we will be able to serve our customers even better, further improving choice, quality and value.”
Olivier Melis, Mobivia Deputy Managing Director, said: “I fully support this alliance with Halfords which will give opportunities to dynamize our offers to our customers with innovation and better value. Together, we will be stronger to accelerate our growth and increase our competitiveness in a more and more competitive market. “
Last year Michelin partnered with Mobivia in the ownership of A.T.U.
Point S entered a procurement alliance with Mobivia in 2015.
