Tianyu tyre-derived rubber business aiming for India
Large Chinese reclaimed rubber producer, Tianyu (Shandong) Rubber and Plastic Products Co. Ltd, is aiming to take its tyre-derived rubber business to the Indian market. According to reports citing the company’s export manager, India shows great demand for the product, but at the same time, the country has a large domestic reclaimed rubber industry.
Tianyu produces an average of up to 200 tonnes of reclaimed rubber each day and already runs two sites in Tianjin and Shandong. Currently, Tianyu exports its produce to the Philippines, Europe and Southeast Asia, and it is searching for new markets as it looks forward to boost exports.
According to the company, Tianyu reclaimed rubber is higher quality and has improved qualities such as strength in comparison with Indian counterparts. The company also says that its prices for long-term orders are competitive.
Due to Tianyu’s expansion goals, the company reports that it has allocated an agent in Sri Lanka that has significant rubber and solid tyre base.
Tianyu (Shandong) Rubber and Plastic Products Co. Ltd is subsidiary of Tianjin Tianyu Rubber and Plastic Products Co. Ltd. It has been set up to find application to scrap tyre rubber and manufacture reclaimed rubber and rubber powder.
Tianyu (Shandong) Rubber and Plastic Products Co., Ltd. was founded in November 2014 as a result of investment from Tianjin Tianyu Rubber and Plastic Products Co., Ltd. The company is located in Shandong Province Dezhou Qingyun County economic development zone. According to the company, high-speed export is only three kilometres away.
The company has registered capital of 61.6 million yuan, with a total investment of 270 million yuan. The factory covers an area of 99,316 square meters, a total construction area of 48950 square metres. 350 employees (including 20 top managers) and 15 senior rubber engineers. 32 technical personnel.
The firm also has connections with Qingdao university of Science and Technology, combining to form a production, study and research base. In 2015 the firm passed the ISO9001 international quality system certification and ISO14001 environmental management system certification.
