Service & repair comparison site AutoAdvisor.co.uk sets out vision

Founders of new car repair comparison site AutoAdvisor.co.uk have outlined their vision for a modern automotive aftermarket and called on other sites to be more transparent about their practices. AutoAdvisor.co.uk has been set up by motor factor personnel, supplying garages on a daily basis for more than 30 years.

Alex Taylor, AutoAdvisor.co.uk founder, explains: “Our new comparison website has been launched following in-depth research with independent garages about how we as a trade can respond to the changing purchasing habits of motorists.

“Comparison websites are used by millions of people each day to buy insurance, utilities etc and so they are the “go to” place for consumers. The upkeep of a vehicle is no exception, but we also recognise the very personal relationships garages have with motorists and so our site is designed to bring new customers to independent garages and ensure the relationship is maintained for many years to come.”

AutoAdvisor.co.uk aims to become the UK’s fastest growing garage network, with more garages signing up each week.

The service offers numerous benefits to garages, including the reduction of time and the expense of advertising often spent to gain new business. AutoAdvisor also focuses on sourcing quality customer leads for garages within a set local area. AutoAdvisor will be increasing garage aids to help mechanics with technical bulletins, data and training courses.

Registering is simple, and as part of an exclusive launch offer, every new garage that signs up will be given a free six-month subscription period, which will start when AutoAdvisor goes live after its trade launch. Garages will still be able to gain access to the AutoAdvisor portal to create a profile and familiarise themselves with the site before the official launch, where they will also receive a notification when a job is waiting for a response. Thereafter, cost for a premium membership is £275 per year.

Taylor added: “We are focused purely on protecting the independent garage’s future, driving customers to this choice for servicing and repair and educating them about their rights under Block Exemption.”
