2 Hexpol management changes during first quarter
During the first quarter of 2019, Hexpol announced a couple of senior management changes. Most recently, at the end of February, Karin Gunnarsson decided to leave her position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Investor Relations Manager at the Hexpol Group in pursuit of “new challenges”:
“It’s almost 11 years since I started to work at Hexpol and it has been very exciting and developing years. It was not an easy decision to leave Hexpol and all fantastic and competent colleagues, but it’s time for me to embrace new challenges”, Karin Gunnarsson commented.
According to the company, Gunnarsson will remain in her position during the notice period and potentially longer, until a successor is in place which is estimated to be during the fall 2019.
The news that the company is seeking to appoint a new CFO during the course of 2019, followed the promotion of Magnus Berglund senior vice president Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions and as a member of Group Management as of February 1 2019.
Berglund joined Hexpol in 2008 as Group Controller and has previous experience in strategy, controlling, accounting and IT from Johns Manville and Trelleborg. Magnus holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Lund University and a University degree in Engineering from Mälardalen University.
